Getting Enough Veggies

Only 20 percent of Canadians eat the recommended 7 to 10 servings of daily fruit and vegetables. Thanks to our hectic lives, we frequently neglect to include the important life-sustaining nutrients found in fruits and vegetables, and opt instead for fast foods that are overly processed and lacking in nutrients.

If you find you’re not always eating the “rainbow” of colourful fruits and vegetables needed daily to stay optimally healthy, an easy solution is to drink a quality green foods supplement that will provide your body with important phytonutrients (plant nutrients), antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and the alkalizing properties of fruits and veggies.

The powder can be added to juice, water or a protein shake and is best taken first thing in the morning. If you’ve never taken a greens supplement before, the green colour of the drink may throw you off, but this is an indication of the rich and protective nutrients you’re ingesting! A single serving of a quality greens formula is equivalent to six to eight servings of veggies.
